Silosonic

Silosonic, aka Alex Marsh, is a guitarist, songwriter, dj & producer. He released his first track ‘Tonight’ by Partners in Crime back in ‘93 on Chris Simmonds’ Baby Blue label - a track which found it’s way onto KISS FM, played by both Paul “Trouble” Anderson and Judge Jules.

Through the ‘90s Alex continued to have tracks released on several small labels as well as various music library tracks that went on to be used in many TV show’s, particularly in the States. In the early noughties Alex was signed to Boy George’s More Protein label where he teamed up with Dave Davis and produced some of George’s work as The Twin, remixed Avenue D and produced Jesus Loves You. In 2004 he started working with Jules Spinner at Lowered Recordings, remixing for the Bhangra Knights and co-producing a track called ‘Rollin On’ released on Italy’s Oxyd label.  However, it wasn’t until 2005 that he hit the dance music scene in a big way as Silosonic with the track ‘Something (to make you feel alright)”. It reached #3 in the UK club chart and went global, hitting the number 1 spot in Australia for a massive 8 weeks. The track was picked up by the label All Around the World in the UK, had major releases in Italy (DIY), Australia (Vicious) and Holland (Spinnin), and was licensed to nearly 30 compilation albums worldwide including Universal and Sony.  It has also been remixed an incredible 25 times, most notably by Robbie Rivera and Dirty South.

Since that success Alex has remixed a host of dance acts including the Shapeshifters for EMI. He’s now enjoyed several Cool Cuts chartings, had two UK Club chart top 5’s, a number 12 and released/is releasing tracks using several other monikers including Ill Beat Hustlers (Ministry of Sound), Senator Syn (Oxyd), Vibe Deluxe (Ispirato) Spinner & Silosonic (Lowered Recordings) and Beat Faction (Exhilarated Recordings).
