I’ve listening to music from such a young age. I’ve grown up with a very musical father. I grew up surrounded by guitars, drum kits, piano’s, you name it. I learnt how to play the saxophone and that opened my musical taste to genre’s such as Jazz.
I then learnt to play guitar and piano and that’s when I learned that I could sing. I joined a band at the age of 13 and that was it, I fell in love with the life style, the feeling of being on stage. I wrote my first song at 14 with a very good friend of mine called Andrew Wildgoose and from then on I have been writing songs. I learnt a lot from Andrew, just to have fun while writing and don’t be afraid to try something a little bit different. He taught me all about harmony and how to look after my voice, he really opened my eyes to the music business.
And that’s when I met Spencer Hickson, he brought dance and bass into my life and I have loved it ever since. I joined an Indie rock band, The Escape . They changed my life. Traveling to Manchester and playing gigs until 1pm, Hanging out with headlining bands, learning what our strengths were. After a wonderful relationship with all of the boys I left and went my own way. So I now had Jazz, Dance, Rock and indie genre’s implanted in my brain and it really has changed the way I wrote.
I Write pop/rock music when I’m happy & angry and when I write a dance track I just think of how I want people to be when they hear my track, Happy and having the time of their lives. I’m currently writing an album as well as writing tracks with the wonderful Duncan & Andrew. I love these guys to bits. They made my dreams come true, releasing a music video, being on itunes. I have them to thank for this leap in my career and I want them in my lives forever, I love these boys terribly.
In the past few years, I’ve learned a lot, relationships, love, happiness & sadness and it all comes across in my songs and I have everyone who has inspired me through my music career to thank. So thank you to my family & Friends, Andrew, The Escape boys, Spencer , Duncan & Andy. I can’t wait for you all to hear it!
